Typically, only beekeepers get to appreciate the full extent of this wonder, but now, the Honeycomb Cottage invites you to immerse yourself in the full sensory delight of the bees' world, beyond just the taste.

Honeycomb Cottage is the brainchild of a creative couple. They came to me with their idea and were just looking for a website. In our initial meeting, I spoke to them about the importance of the web services they selected as well as the look, feel and tone of the site. Overall, the site should communicate the safety, comfort and therapeutic qualities of the experience. Many people are terrified of bees so it should feel very safe and inviting.
Because they are new to running let alone starting a business I told them that I would be their guy from start to finish and beyond.
I did extensive research to find a host and a booking/payment service. I made recommendations which weighed the pros and cons of each service.
I directed them on the types of photos to shoot to communicate a sense of serenity and safety.
I created the site flow and navigation. I designed the logo.
Once I built the site and connected it to the booking an payment service, I created a script for user testing. I found a few participants and ran a study. After aggregating the feedback, I presented it to the owners and made revisions
A buzzing success.
Once the site was launched to the public they immediately started booking clients. The website feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
